Most of your reality is not a given. It is shaped by your expectations, beliefs and thoughts you have formed about it. A big chunk of these beliefs and expectations are encoded into habits you integrate in your daily life.

Yes, some of these habits are formed unconsciously and can be counter-productive or limiting but conversely, you can consciously form positive habits that will transform and empower your life significantly.

1. Rise Earlier

The practical advantages of waking up early are obvious.

For example, you gain more time for doing exercise such as walking or cycling. You gain more time to be with yourself to reflect, meditate or, more importantly, carry out the other morning rituals.

So rising early can be seen as a foundation for all the other morning rituals. Many, like myself, find that they are more productive in the early hours of the day.

Also, various studies have shown that there are many other benefits from waking up an hour or two earlier in the morning. Sleeping early and waking up early helps the body attune with the earth’s circadian rhythms thus, promoting more restorative sleep. Other curious results from such studies show, for instance, that early risers tend to be more optimistic and can anticipate and solve problems more efficiently than the norm. The people who don't do this can make lacs of excuses. But truth is truth. And I have already said that these are the habits which we have to develop. It will not come naturally.

2. Drink Hot Water with Lemon

Simply add a slice of lemon in a glass of hot water and drink one every morning. This is a very simple ritual I follow faithfully every morning. You can also add a little bit of honey to it to get more energy. This is good one for those who take energy drinks after doing exercise in the gym.

Apart from being a good source of vitamin C and a great way of flushing out toxins in the morning, it balances and maintains the PH levels in the body, reduces pain and inflammation in joints and knees and helps nourishing brain and nerve cells.

3. Listen to Uplifting Music

Uplifting music can have a direct impact on our mood, especially in the morning. It charges us emotionally and tunes us into a more positive outlook of the day ahead.

Most people wake up to music or listen to music as they commute to work. Very often, however, they tune in to a radio or randomly pick a playlist from their device. Being more selective and conscious of the music you listen to in the morning can have a great impact on your day and life in general.

It’s funny how we try to choose music according to our mood. For example if you are feeling down or disappointed by something, you are more prone to listen to music that reflects that mood – for instance blues, sad songs or downtempo music. This has the effect of reinforcing that mood. What you need to do is the exact opposite and retune your mood by listening to music that beats to a different tune than that mood.

Try to listen to more uplifting music in the morning even if, or especially if, your mood does not dictate so.

These three things I try to follow every day. But even if you miss it for one or two days try to return to the schedule as early as possible. Benefits of these things cannot be seen in one or two days. It will be reflected in your life slowly.

May God bless you a great success in your life!

5 Mistakes That You Can Avoid While Learning English

Dear students and teachers,

Today I am going to discuss about the 5 biggest mistakes that we normally make while learning English. I just wonder why we have made English so complicated and difficult for the learner. Learning English should be a fun. It should be like a kid’s game. But what we are doing? We are just scaring our learners that it’s not easy to learn English. In our school we have never seen English as a language. We have always taught English as a subject. So let’s take the 5 mistakes one by one which we should avoid while learning English.

 1. Focusing On Grammar व्याकरण पर अधिक ध्यान केंद्रित करना

This is the biggest, most common, and worst mistake. Research shows that grammar study, in fact, actually hurts English speaking ability. Why? Because English grammar is simply too complex to memorize and use logically…. and real conversation is much too fast. You don’t have enough time to think, remember hundreds or thousands of grammar rules choose the correct one, and then use it.

Your logical left-brain cannot do it. You must learn grammar intuitively and unconsciously, like a child. You do this by hearing a lot of correct English grammar– and your brain gradually learns to use English grammar correctly.

2. Forcing Speech बोलने में जल्दबाजी

Both English students and teachers try to force speech before the learner is ready. The result is that most students speak English very slowly– with no confidence and no fluency. Forcing speech is a huge mistake. Don’t force speech. Focus on listening and be patient. Speak only when you are ready to speak– when it happens naturally. Until then, never force it.

3. Learning Only Formal Textbook English केवल पुस्तक से औपचारिक अंग्रेजी सीखना

Unfortunately, most English students rely too much on their textbook to learn English. The problem is– native speakers don’t use that kind of English in most situations. When speaking to friends, family, or co-workers, native speakers use casual English that is full of idioms, phrasal verbs, and slang. To communicate with native speakers, you must not rely only on textbooks. You must learn casual English from newspaper and other authentic material.

4. Trying To Be Perfect परफेक्ट होने की कोशिश करना

Students and teachers often focus on mistakes. They worry about mistakes. They correct mistakes. They feel nervous about mistakes. They try to speak perfectly. No one, however, is perfect. Native speakers make mistakes all the time. You will too. Instead of focusing on the negative– focus on communication. Your goal is not to speak “perfectly”, your goal is to communicate ideas, information, and feelings in a clear and understandable way. Focus on communication, focus on the positive. You will improve your mistakes in time.

5. Relying On English Schools स्कूल पर निर्भर होना

Most English learners rely totally on schools. They think the teacher and the school are responsible for their success. This is never true. You, the English learner, are always responsible. A good teacher can help, but ultimately you must be responsible for your own learning. You must find lessons and material that are effective. You must listen and read every day. You must manage your emotions and remain motivated and energetic. You must be positive and optimistic. No teacher can make you learn. Only you can do it!

While these mistakes are very common, the good news is that you can correct them. When you stop making these mistakes, you change the way you learn English. You learn faster. Your speaking improves. You enjoy learning English. In my next article I will tell you how can we make English learning a fun.

Good luck… you can do it!
