📖 Story: The Busy Classroom
Once upon a time in Grammarland School, there
was a very active student named Riya. She loved doing things—writing essays,
solving problems, painting posters. Her teacher, Mr. Verb, always praised her
for being so energetic.
One day, Mr. Verb said,
🌟 Scene 1: Active Voice
Riya stood up and said:
“I write a story.”
Mr. Verb clapped. “That’s Active Voice! You are the subject,
and you’re doing the action—writing.”
Then Riya said:
“I painted the wall.”
“I solved the puzzle.”
Each time, Mr. Verb smiled. “You’re the doer, Riya. That’s
active!”
🔄 Scene 2: Passive Voice
Suddenly, the classroom turned magical. The objects began to
speak!
The wall said:
“The wall was painted by Riya.”
The puzzle said:
“The puzzle was solved by Riya.”
Mr. Verb explained, “Now the object becomes the subject. The
focus is on what was done—not who did it. That’s Passive Voice!”
🧠 Rule Recap (taught by Mr. Verb)
Mr. Verb wrote on the board:
He added:
