When Douglas
grew up, he took the help of an instructor to learn swimming. His training went
on from October to April. For three months he was taken across the pool with
the help of a rope. As he went under, terror filled him and his legs froze. The
instructor taught him to exhale under water and inhale through raised nose. He
made him kick his legs to make them relax. Then he asked him to swim. He
continued swimming from April to July. Still all terror had not left. He swam
two miles across Lake Wentworth and the whole length to the shore and back of
Warm Lake. Then he overcame his fear of water.

The modern world is full of insecurity, fear, war, worry, and stress. This is because the world has become competitive and people want to pull each other down. We fear failure. To overcome such insecurities, we must first accept that both good and bad come hand in hand. Hence, we need to create a balance between personal, professional, creative and economic spheres of life. It is important for us to spend quality time with family and friends, be creative in art, poetry or prose etc. Some sort of sport, vacations, indoor games and healthy eating all sum up to make life- stress-free and healthy. Life is all about balance.
