ALL YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT SPEAKING
Do you want to learn English or speak English? Most of the people think both as same. But both are totally different concept. Learning is a passive process whereas speaking is an active process. Whenever a person starts learning English, they start by improving their vocabulary and grammatical skill. And they keep on doing that. May I ask you a simple question? How many words do you think is enough for speaking English? Studies have shown that it is roughly 1500 to 2000. Many people fail in their career because they don’t know how to speak English. Here I am giving you some golden tips to improve your speaking skill.
Listening:
Listening is one of the most ignored skills
of learning English. Many people complain that if they don’t understand English
then what the use of listening is. But you should know that it’s the first step
of learning a language. How you speak English is entirely dependent on how much
you listen. Don’t be too anxious to know the meanings of the words you listen.
Reading:
There are plenty of materials for
reading. Read according to your interest. Newspaper reading is a good exercise
to do. Try to make habit of reading at least one English newspaper daily. Too
many English dailies are now available in your mobile phones. Reading habit
will improve vocabulary and building of the sentences. There are so many
reading apps also in which ‘Kindle’ is the most popular among the readers.
Writing:
Writing is also a good habit to
improve your English speaking. It does not matter how much you write. It may be
single sentence to a small paragraph. Keep a diary in which you can write
daily. Try to be consistent.
Never give up:
Whatever your goal is, make it clear
and part of your life. You’ll reach it if you stay and focused. Most of the
people leave, when they are about to success. So keep trying until you reach
your goal.
You can see that during my entire blog, I have not at all mentioned about speaking. Because I feel that it is a natural process. It will happen automatically. It’s just like sowing a seed. If you sow the seed, the little sapling will come out automatically. So never be too hasty and anxious. Do the hard work and the fruit will definitely come out.
