Letter writing

1. Informal Letter in Story Pattern

Story Setup

Ravi returned from his summer vacation in his village. He had fun climbing mango trees, bathing in the pond, and spending time with his grandparents. He wanted to share these experiences with his best friend, Amit, who lived in the city. Since there was no phone signal in the village, Ravi decided to write a letter.

 Dear Amit,

I hope you are fine and enjoying your holidays. I have just returned from my village and I am eager to share my experiences with you.

Life there is so different! I played in the green fields, helped my grandfather in his small farm, and even learnt how jaggery is made from sugarcane. Every morning, I bathed in the cool pond with my cousins. The evenings were filled with folk songs and stories from my grandmother.

I really wish you had been with me. Next year, we will go together. I am sure you will love the fresh air and peaceful life of the village.

 Yours lovingly,

Ravi

Subject: Request for new books in the library

 Respected Sir/Madam,

I am a student of Class 11-A. I would like to draw your kind attention towards the condition of our school library. Many of the books are old and damaged, and there are very few latest reference books available for subjects like Science and English.

We, the students, feel the need for updated books to improve our studies and prepare for competitive exams. Therefore, I request you to kindly arrange for some new books and magazines in the library. This will greatly benefit all the students.

Thanking you,

 Yours obediently,

Riya
