1. Who is the Tiger King? Why does he get that name?

The Tiger King is Maharaja Sir Jilani Jung Jung Bahadur of Pratibandapuram. He earned the title because of his obsession with killing tigers to defy a prophecy that he would die due to a tiger.

2. What did the royal infant grow up to be?

He grew up to be a strong, determined ruler who was obsessed with killing tigers to escape his foretold death. He was educated in English and took over the kingdom at age twenty.

The Tiger King, Maharaja of Pratibandapuram, was a proud, arrogant, and stubborn ruler. He took the astrologer’s prophecy about his death by a tiger as a personal challenge and dedicated his entire life to killing tigers. Though brave and determined, he was also cruel, selfish, and eccentric. He married a princess only to continue his tiger hunt and often misused his royal power to fulfill his obsession. His arrogance blinded him to his real duties as a king. Ironically, despite his efforts, fate proved stronger, and he died due to a wooden tiger.
